will be yanked is if Trump kicks him to the curb. We all know Trump only cares about himself. Kavanaug, like Trump, has never been held accountable for his actions so I doubt he will back down.

but I believe it will take Trump jettisoning him to get rid of him. The Rethugs refuse to bring in all of the victim's and witnesses into the hearing and they refuse to demand an FBI investigation. It boggles the mind but the Rethugs just don't care. Kavsnaugh needs to be toxic for Trump to get Trump to dump him.

he certainly won't withdraw.

It's hard to imagine how or why he remains in the "confirmation" process. I can only surmise he's taking Clarence Thomas as a role model, and is eagerly awaiting his chance to say something as despicable as "high class lynching" thinking that will redeem him and assure his confirmation.

and Trump, he has to withdraw his name because of the damage the false accusations - that he categorically denies - has brought to the nomination process and which would be carried into his time on the court and taint his time there. That his family has been subjected to all manner of abuse and he can no longer allow it to continue.

He'll give thanks - to Trump, to country, to God. Talk about how unfair he has been treated. That he has been wronged.

But - for the good of the country & family - he withdraws.

Or not.
