2. Ronald Reagan had big ambitions like this after he left office. The blowback over the venality...

....of his asking price per speech was such that pulled back from those plans. He no doubt felt a little bit ashamed, an emotion completely foreign to Trump. I think Reagan gave one high buck speech in Japan and it was just such a tedious repeat of his idiot, note card talking points that the reviews were so bad that there was talk that the Japanese wanted a refund.

I could be wrong, but once he is out of office his can’t even pretend to help them. I wonder how long he will hold their attention without a carrot to chase. I’m guessing the monied interests in the GOP are looking elsewhere and will take a pass. No one has to offer him their venue. He has stiffed so many places that they will demand prepayment and there is nothing he can do.
