(53,544 posts)It might help to know what legislation they have voted on for this list. Especially when it would require all 50 Democratic Senators to vote the same if there no Republicans. Considering where Manchin, Sinema, and Sanders are shown too.

(52,823 posts)to take one example. Medicare negotiation was killed in committee by Reps Rice, Schrader, and Peters along with all the GOP committee members. Rice and Peters are tied for 1st but they, along with Schrader killed a massive popular part of Biden's agenda.

That ought to be counted when ranking people.

(58,785 posts)For sure votes in committee can add signficant additional information, like that example. But there are so many committee votes, even on one bill, and they can be completely misleading without intensive explanation. Which is to say, votes in committee often mislead about the member's intent.
Seems like most of the time when committee votes are mentioned, in fact, it's to lie about what a candidate supported or didn't. I've gone back and tried to find the truth more than once, and it can be prohibitively complex. Starting with finding the version of a bill in question (!); and if you could, then reading it and comparing it to other versions.... Never got that far, don't ever expect to.
