Manafort was the one who got the GOP platform changed on the hush-hush. I'm sure Chump was fine with it, but he looked the other way while Manafort did the dirty work.

We know from Fiona Hill trump only ever acted with his own self-interest in mind, never the country's, so all Manafort had to do was tell trump this would make Putin like him and trump would be all in.

He also knows Putin could destroy him with one sentence so will do anything and everything he possibly can (not much due to his total incompetence and stupidity) to curry favor.
