Will she retire from her role as Speaker of the House or will she fight on? I say she will fight on. What do you think?

OP
It is very likely that a new generation of leaders takes the reins after the election.

(19,255 posts)1. Speaker Pelosi is NO QUITTER....
That honor goes to Richard Nixon, Sarah Palin, and John Boehner.
The immense pressure she is under, only goes to show her resolve. Her constituents LOVE her.

(18,680 posts)2. She has said this will be her last term as the Democratic House leader
Here's the 2020 article.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday reaffirmed a pledge she made to House Democrats two years ago that she would give up the gavel after the 117th Congress.
Ahead of the 116th Congress, Pelosi cut a deal with a handful of members threatening to vote against her for speaker on the floor. To win their support, the California Democrat agreed to allow the caucus to vote on proposed term limits for the top three Democratic leaders and to abide by the proposal herself regardless of whether it was adopted.
Her response wasnt direct, but it revealed her intention to keep her promise from two years prior.
What I said then is whether it passes or not, I will abide by those limits that are there, the speaker said.

She is a woman. In my experience she will fight. Whether this means she leaves Congress? Who knows. She will deal with it one way or another. No doubt whatever.
