Message for the Right to Lifers

I remember as a child living in a dirt garage while my father (Native American) worked for the Northern Pacific Railway. As a teen I lived with my aunt and uncle until he tried to sexualize me so I ran away from home instead and lost my education. The child that resulted from that life experience died from lack or medical care because I could not afford paying for it and not knowing the horrible problem she had. She did not tell me how serious the health problem was in trying to protect me from problems of paying the doctor while not paying for the rent, food, etc. Well she died from a problem that could have been prevented by RX. There were many other problems caused by lack of income. One example was there was no child care while I went to school to get skills to be able to be employed. My two girls were left alone while I was getting those skills (no funds for childcare). Those were not the only problems in just surviving. My message to the Right To Lifers: I would have been much better off if I had not been born and I would not have wished I had the guts to kill myself in the beginning as not to experience the hell I have gone through in my life. So you can take your Right To Life and stuff it and you know where, as there is a lot more to life than just breathing.

I look at your traumas that could have been eased, if the right to lifer really meant that all life is sacred. By that, I mean providing the resources to help you through your experiences. If all life was really sacred to them, we would have universal healthcare. You would not have been in a position of rent or medical care.

If life was truly sacred to them, when your uncle forced you to run away, there would have been a safe place to go, while you continued your education. When you had kids there would have been childcare provided while you went to school.

As you know, the right to lifers only believes in that, until a fetus takes its 1st breath and becomes a live baby.

But I want you to always know this. You are valued. By us on DU. Sharing what you have gone through helps to strengthen our resolve that women need their human rights.
