Republican Party

Republicans don't want a democracy, they want a dictator. They want government to control what people read and see and who they love and control females in general like they are a slaves.

In a generation Republicans went from "small government" to "government control over everything" and it is one of the most fascinating evolutions of a political party in American history.

At least that is how it seems if you had not been actually paying attention to not what Republicans were saying but what they were doing. Since the days of Eisenhower it's always been about them and what they want and how they can use the power of government to do it.
Trump is no different. He is just more "bull in a china shop" about it and that bombastic and authoritarian bent has spread like wildfire through the Republican Party. They are now not only saying the quiet part out loud, they are are proud of positions that would have been antithetical to own Party's public talking points just a generation ago.
There is no better version of Republicans. There is no redemption. Their totalitarian fascist bent is baked into their DNA and has been for decades.
Trump is not the cause of the current situation.
What we are seeing now is just the natural evolution of a sick, violent and hateful people in a political party that was always going to end up here.

Those millions of republicans want an authoritarian gov't but they mistakenly think they will be the few thousand elites actually in charge.

Those millions are useful tools for those who will actually be in charge.

One poster called it a 'new social feudalism age'.

Same/same for those who want our country to be Christian run.

When a theocracy takes over America, which church (Christian of course) will be in charge?
Will the others accept their rule?
Many Catholics/Protestants consider the other to be false Christians.
Would they accept Mormons as the rulers?
Westboro Baptist Church?
The new rulers will be political Christians rather than Christians of faith.

We have plenty of people who want to be the Christian Ayatollah of America.

The Christian version of Sharia Law.

It consists of 50 syndicates. The goal isn't to help Americans, it's to maintain power for themselves. You'd think all voters could see this.

is their constant blather about “saving our Constitutional Republic” from Democrats. All while working incessantly to destroy and rewrite the Constitution to align with their world view. Epic projection!

"drown-it-in-a-bathtub" size. Luckily more and more Republi-cons are dying every day, and very few Gen Zers are going to check the "R" box on their voter registration cards to replace all the hateful Nazi-friendly pieces of crap who croak.

smaller government - they have always wanted smaller government for the rich, the ruling class, and the corporations. The fact that smaller government for those groups requires more government control of everyone else is a feature, not a bug.

For corporations, yes, but everything else? They have always been fascist thugs who wanted to have iron-fisted control of the 'lesser' people. You know, women, minorities, LGBT+, not-christians, and more.

Only white males who were straight, right-wing and christian could think it's ever been otherwise with the traitor thug party.
