What is off with the ABC News / Ipsos poll?

It seems lately that it’s constantly depicting trump in a positive scenario while showing Biden performing badly.

In one segment they claim 44 percent of Americans support the Biden Impeachment inquiry?

How is that? With no damn evidence so far and 44 percent of Americans support this? Wow

Something is off

The media executives want the Trump tax cuts to continue forever.

They will expire in 2027 as of now.

which there are databases available, and therefore more valid/reliable sampling for pollsters to base their polls on. Obviously, there is much corporate-based sampling, demographic sampling, "all Americans" sampling (which really, only Gallup has sampled validly and reliably), so imo, they're all "off."

That's my take on why it's off.

It’s the independent number that is questionable; I’ve seen many reports that the majority of folks who reject partisan labels and identify as independents nevertheless tend to consistently vote for one party over the other. There are very few truly independent “swing” voters (IIRC, something like 15-20% of Independents actually vacillate between voting for Dems and GOP candidates)

No sampling of those dissatisfied with Trump or others like him.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that 44% are supportive of impeaching Biden - 44% of us (or thereabouts), are Republicans in this country and it’s just a reflective/knee jerk response. If the question ‘would you support an impeachment inquiry against Marge Green?’ were posed to Democrats, the response would be overwhelmingly supportive of it (44% or thereabouts).

Either you’re on Team Red or Team Blue - there’s no thoughtful middle anymore (if there ever was).
