Then again, I remember the silly period in which boys got dolls and girls got trucks along with sex typed toys. The boys would hold Barbie by her feet and yell "BANG!" The girls would wrap a truck in a blankie and put it to bed. Yes, I personally witnessed both behaviors, along with the shock and disgust on their mother's face.
But he makes a good point, even if playing Barbies with a sister when there are no boys around is not what causes them to treat women like livestock.
It's male culture, that adolescent stew of pimples, unwanted erections, and a breaking voice that tells them they can cover it all up by being swaggering assholes who are vicious to girls. That's what grown men need to address. Maybe this guy will make a start.
