My 88 yr old, UC Davis Aggie Alumni (DU lurker to use her words) mother asked that I post this to DU on her behalf and I am enthusiastically doing so.
Attached is a shocking public humiliation aimed at the trans community during Pride month. Beth Bourne, the Program Coordinator for UC Davis STEPS+ Program, tweeted the attached video of herself engaged in a vile verbal assault on another guest.
Heres hoping Chancellor Gary May does the right thing and fires her immediately for her bragging bigotry.

(11,030 posts)Polynesian culture has a word for this, 'Mahu'. "Māhū were particularly respected as teachers, usually of hula dance and chant. In pre-contact times māhū performed the roles of goddesses in hula dances that took place in temples which were off-limits to women. Māhū were also valued as the keepers of cultural traditions, such as the passing down of genealogies. Traditionally parents would ask māhū to name their children." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C4%81h%C5%AB
