with less than expected changes. They know Kamala Harris has had a seat in all important meetings and could likely easily move into the Presidency if needed. No one doubts her intelligence or skill.

I suspect that the very fact that Biden has worked against the status quo to help the majority of people has not been appreciated by some of the elites. Some of the journalists are probably moved by fear that Trump could beat Biden. The problem for them, is there is nothing to suggest another nominee would do better.

Biden is President. He should regularly speak to the public to show who he is. Remember that in 2004 when Bush was thoroughly beaten in the first debate on foreign policy by Kerry, he announced and the media carried a foreign policy speech. In 2004, Kerry, without Trump 's cult, was an alternative with far less baggage and a reputation for honesty. Note, no one called for Bush to drop out having blown a debate on what should have been his strongest issues.
