are part of an orchestrated campaign of ratfuckery meant to demoralize those who support Biden and other Democrats.
MAGAS, Fascists (or do I repeat myself?) are very cunning with ratfuckery.

(38,578 posts)not demoralized. I am angry with those democrats telling him to not run. Why the hell, if they thought there was a problem, didnt they say something last year or at least very early this year before all the primaries.
I have no respect for the likes of schiff, Schumer, or pelosi now.

(9,181 posts)Senator from California. I know that Nancy put Adam Schiff as the favorite of the party for that race, since he has always sort of been her teacher's pet. But after this whole fiasco with the Biden campaign, I'm thinking we need to make some major changes to our party's "leadership".
We need leadership that supports the majority of voters, not just voters who follow blindly behind leadership hoping they'll toss us a bone. We need fighters in congress, who fight FOR the people, like Joe and Kamala have been doing.

(26,002 posts)Hate to go all tinfoil...but this has putin's bloody prints all over it.
I mean - this is what he has done in other countries including Ukraine, England ("Brexit" , and I'm sure others.
Meanwhile - if true - I'm reading he's suffering some setbacks in his bloody war. I hope this is true!

(266 posts)I've no doubt that Republicans are happy to sink the shiv into our soft parts; however, I am considering that this may be an orchestrated campaign from our own side. I fear this plan has been ready to roll out long before the first debate. Those behind wanting a new ticket, want it to be the candidates they choose which is why no one came forward to challenge President Biden in the primary election. They knew Biden would win. Suddenly we see Democratic strategists, donors, and some Dem leadership (plus rank and file representatives) calling for Biden to step down. Doesn't this feel like a charade? Doesn't this apparent lunacy make sense if this was the plan all along? Even the media outlets who were, occasionally, positive to Dems have joined in. They know who they want on a brand new ticket and are determined to bring it to fruition. Perhaps my own fear of the outcomes and anger at the way this is being handled are muddling my critical thinking.

(318 posts)Our grandfathers had to endure the disinformation of Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally (The British had "Lord Haw Haw" and you know how that ended, don't you? He got an appointment with Mr. Pierrepoint and an English rope). Now, it's our turn to deal with the nonsense.

(18,999 posts)The only other explanation that would fit your narrative is that the reporters were duped by someone pretending to be a democratic insider
So which do you believe, and why?

(18,999 posts)I want to get to the bottom of your alleged media conspiracy involving dozens of professional, experienced reporters.
Do you believe these reporters acted on their own, and duped their editors, or were the editors complicit in this conspiracy?
DAngelo136
(318 posts)To make up "sources" or to cite from people who have no connection to anyone involved?
A source, ideally should lead to more concrete evidence/facts. As far as you or I know, they could have asked the janitor for his opinion for a
"source". And given the stakes involved, I would need more substantive information and more reliable sources. I won't just "take their word for it." Given their past mendacity and gullibility, I'm highly skeptical of their veracity.

(318 posts)"Without facts, you can't have truth. Without truth, you can't have trust. Without trust, we have no shared reality, no democracy, and it becomes impossible to deal with our world's existential problems: climate, coronavirus, the battle for truth- Maria Ressa"
I fail to see how this answers my question. I'll ask bluntly: Do you put it past them to lie to you? I'll answer that bluntly: NO, I don't. To quote the late Gil Scott-Heron: "If they really knew the truth, why would they tell you?"
Do you agree?
Fiendish Thingy
(18,999 posts)No, I dont believe that is the case.
That is flat earth, fake moon landing territory, and I am a member of the reality based community.
Any one individual might occasionally slip up or even bend the truth. Dozens of professional journalists with reputations and careers to uphold is a different story.

(857 posts)so I think they get someone to answer a hypothetical and then report their comments without context. They will ask..If Biden drops out...or if the polls say this...or what would you say about this person as candidate? and then cherry pick the responses.
Fiendish Thingy
(18,999 posts)And the statements reported werent in response to hypothetical questions, but were positions volunteered by the source.
