(2,228 posts)I couldn't take that much of Trump, but I sure enjoyed the questions while I could stand to watch.

(1,884 posts)I am so looking forward to the day when a black woman prosecutor wins the election and watching that arrogant national disgrace deal with his impending prison sentences. If ever someone deserves his just desserts, he stands at the top of the list.
We can all thank the black women in our party who are mounting an invaluable effort to save all of our skin from being taken over by a modern day Hitler and his band of Nazis. We salute and thank you one and all.

(10,275 posts)Did not make him answer a single question. What they did is what every other reporter has ever done with trump: ask a question and then run away without getting an actual answer and never holding him accountable for his habit of babbling nonsense.

(19,707 posts)Trump is a slippery customer, a very brazen bluffer and liar, and a master of derailing and distraction. I'm struggling to imagine how anyone could force him to give proper answers when he obviously doesn't want to.
I haven't seen the whole interview yet, just some brief clips, but it seemed to me that they were doing the best they (or really anyone) could. When he didn't want to answer, he went on the attack, criticizing things like the "tone" they were using. He obviously had no respect whatsoever for the women who were questioning him - and why would he, considering they were both black and female, two groups he holds in the lowest regard and regards as his inferiors.
When Trump interacts with black people and/or women, he expects subservience and deference. He does NOT expect them to challenge him in any way, and I'd bet money that he does not believe they have the right to ask him questions that make him uncomfortable, much less insist that he answer them.
I'm pretty sure those journalists were aware of all of that going in, and they knew that there would be no point in trying to pin him down beyond a certain point. Instead, they responded to his dodging and weaving in such a way that his refusal to honestly engage was made obvious to those watching and just kept going. In so doing, they gave him plenty of rope to hang himself with,, and I think he made pretty good use of it by putting on a full demonstration of what a rude, disrespectful, racist and misogynistic asshole he is.

(1,172 posts)try to get him to get back to answering the question asked instead of his rally talking points. She also fact checked him real time on several points while he continued to talk. e.g. whining about dems liking immigrants so they can vote, she said only American Citizens can vote....etc.
I think she and Jonathan Alter are the two best interviewers of Trump I've seen. She was professional, steely, had the facts and never wavered from his bullying.

(72 posts)I don't usually see much tv news, and maybe from that lack of exposure (or simply aging), I don't seem to have much ability to remember faces and names in the news.
It would be helpful to know what organization she works for, in case I get the chance to follow her work in the near future.
Otherwise I am kind of clueless.
