JD Vance endorsed a book calling the Left 'unhumans.'

J.D. Vance has written a blurb for a new book by a right-wing conspiracy theorist who categorizes the Left as “unhumans.”

Jack Posobiec is best known for spreading the Pizzagate conspiracy that falsely connected Hillary Clinton and Democratic leaders to concocted claims that a human trafficking and child sex ring was being run out of a pizza restaurant in Washington D.C.

His new book, Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions (and How to Crush Them)’ suggests that communists and modern-day progressives are so anti civilization that they are not people, but, as Posobiec calls them, “unhumans.”

In his editorial review, or blurb, recommending the book, Vance writes: “In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through HR, college campuses, and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people. In ‘Unhumans’, Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec reveal their plans and show us what to do to fight back.”

“Unhumans,” an anti-democratic screed that Posobiec co-wrote with the professional ghostwriter Joshua Lisec, comes with endorsements from some of the most influential people in Republican politics, including, most significantly, vice-presidential candidate JD Vance.

As they tell it, modern progressivism is just the latest incarnation of an ancient evil dating back to the late Roman Republic and continuing through the French Revolution and Communism to today. Often, they write, “great men of means” are required to crush this scourge. The contempt for democracy in “Unhumans” is not subtle. “Our study of history has brought us to this conclusion: Democracy has never worked to protect innocents from the unhumans,” write Posobiec and Lisec.

One of their book’s heroes is the Spanish dictator Francisco Franco, who overthrew the democratic Second Spanish Republic in the country’s 1930s civil war. The authors call him a “great man of history” and compare him to George Washington. They quote him on what doesn’t work against the unhuman threat: “We do not believe in government through the voting booth. The Spanish national will was never freely expressed through the ballot box.”

Nakedly authoritarian ideas like this one are not uncommon in the dank corners of the reactionary internet, or among the sort of groups that led the Jan. 6 insurrection. “Unhumans” lauds Augusto Pinochet, leader of the Chilean military junta who led a coup against Salvador Allende’s elected government in 1973, ushering in a reign of torture and repression that involved tossing political enemies from helicopters.

Pinochet-inspired helicopter memes have been common in the MAGA movement for years. And as the historian David Austin Walsh wrote last year, there’s long been a cult of Franco on the right. Nevertheless, it’s extremely unusual for a candidate for vice president of the United States to openly align himself with autocratic terror.

I am mystified that the title of this book and the author isn't being spread as far and wide as the danger of project 2025.

Unhumans goes so much farther down the dystopian authoritarian path.

By blurbing this book, Vance, Carlson, and Don Jr. are endorsing the glorification of the reign of murdering facists like Franco and Pinochet nd endorsing a vision of DT/Vance leading a similar purge.

We can keep the focus on the message of hope and joy, but we CANNOT ignore the implication of this book and how utterly horrifying the premise and "solutions" offered are.

I totally 2nd and underscore your concern and belief, that this is MUCH further down the dystopian path than Project 2025...

...which is quite something, considering how horrific Project 2025 is.

Mike Flynn's 5GW book has a part in there about how you dehumanize people so people will willingly kill them...

...this is a playbook for exactly that... laying the historical, philosophical justification...

Peter Thiel's 2009 article on Cato Unbound was the seed which gave rise to the intellectual justifications for the Neoreactionary movement, aka "Dark Enlightenment."

And it's important that we make all of this far far far better known than it is now.

(FWIW, Thiel has contributed to any number of rw candidates, apparently among them Rubio, Cruz, Hawley... but especially the 10-15M in the 2022 Senate campaign of JD Vance which took him from the back of the pack -- along with Trump's endorsement, to winning the Ohio Senate Seat.

Thiel is one of those evil movers who has, not just tremendous wealth, but tremendous influence - a leading light, if not THE leading light of a group known as the "PayPal Mafia." It was his sending out a message which led to the run of, and the subsequent failure and demise of, Silicon Valley Bank. The impact on the FDIC wasn't good, and nearly seems like yet another way for some of these evil creatures to transfer money meant for the good of society to the pockets of the 0.01%

If you have the time, Max Chafkin's book on Thiel, "The Contrarian", is well worth your time. While not mentioned in the book to my recollection, it has been said that he was Trump's tech advisor in 2015 and it was he who introduced the Trump campaign to Cambridge Analytica.

These people are NOT playing around, they are dead serious, with an emphasis on dead.
