Something unimaginable a few weeks ago. But they have the money to do it. I didn't realize Biden only lost FL by 3%. Crazy to think about it.
For some reason, I think Ohio might be more gettable than Florida. What do you all think?

(52,694 posts)not on themselves but on Tester and Brown. We need to win both of those seats to hold the Senate and both will be hard. Montana, in particular, is a bargain. Assuming Florida would cost $20 million to make competitive spend $10 million in each of those two states.

But ... severe gerrymandering pretty much guarantees he keeps his seat ... Ohio legislature needs to be changed over to majority Dem for districts to be redrawn properly, that will take years.

(4,907 posts)A lot more trump yard signs than in 2020, and were 70+ days out
I drive the same 20 minute stretch almost every day, in 2020 I saw 12 trump signs and 5 Biden signs right before the election. This year it's 35 trump signs, and 1 Harris sign.
And yes I keep track of this type of thing (spreadsheet and all), I find it nice that maga announces where the racist live

Hell, I live in a good blue city in CA now and still won't put out political signs.

(10,704 posts)Spend up big down the FL ticket, and the tight battleground races. If we win Florida, it will be a bonus like 2008, and 2012.

(15,632 posts)About opening a Florida office. I don't know if he did, but he was mocked for it. I thought it was a good idea though because even then the campaign had way more money than Trump and could spare some in order to make Trump respond in kind, spreading his smallee reserves thinner over swing states.
Now the numbers and enthusiasm are even better for Harris so that will probably happen.

Oh, and if there's a "Mind Your Own Damn Business" yard sign, I'd like to add that too, to counter the "Vote No on 4" supporters in my 'hood. (Amendment 4 would protect women's -- and girls' -- reproductive freedom statewide).

(4,907 posts)No we most likely will not get FL either, but that is not really the goal. The goal is to make trump spend a lot of money holding on the FL

(971 posts)The ballot amendments coupled with Rick Scott being more unpopular than Ted Cruz AND typhoid makes Florida a worthy play. The Latino community in and around Orlando is much different than the one in Miami; each requires different messaging, but both require that you be present.

(27,884 posts)And help boost Nikki Fried as the FL Dem head (she is doing her best there), and get the abortion and weed amendments passed.
I say it depends. I don't think Harris can flip it blue, but maybe they can do the above and help us in the Senate and House. I think NC is more flippable -- Biden lost NC by 1.2%.

(1,429 posts)By this time in 2008, there was an Obama yard sign on every house and car in my deep blue community. I dont see as many Harris, but the excitement and commitment is just as deep. But, even here, Democrats are nervous about yard signs and bumper stickers. What has changed? The scary crazy of Trumpers who will cut you off or damage your house.
