Can be gamey and tough. Slow cook in a sweet marinade until the flesh literally falls off the bone.

My cheapo oven that comes with the apartment doesn't have great temp control at low degrees. It's great for turkey and even duck, but couldn't get it low enough for great goose. Saved the fat though and used it for all kinds of stuff.

At least they're edible. There are some immigrants who come here and don't realize you need a hunting license or a fishing license.

However, so what? Let them know they need a hunting license. Problem solved. I'm pretty sure the problem is rare.

My MIL used to shoot birds and eat them. (Without a license. In the city limits. And they were native doves) And she also used to cut chicken's heads off. Same with a pet duck.

There are some cultures where agriculture is practiced in urban areas. Like slaughtering chickens.

BTW: Aren't chickens in every backyard a white person thing now?

the great number of geese and ducks would end up as food on someone's table. She's half joking, but half serious. And yes, I get a kick of the many large geese walking around like "We own this place." They're used enough to people and traffic that they're not aggressive, but I laugh about how they've arrived here on permanent vacation and refuse to leave. They also make easy pickin's for the growing coyote population.

they want - messy, aggressive, non-native birds that are too lazy to head south for the winter.

I'm still having a hard time convincing myself I didn't somehow slip into a bizarre alternate universe nine years ago.

human lives in danger with this, just like he did with bleach, with it's a hoax and again on January 6 for political gain (and a permanent stay-out-of-jail card in his case).
