I have questions...

If the suspect was staking out the golf course for 12 hours but never fired his weapon and drump was never in his line of sight, how on earth is this considered an assassination attempt?

Wouldn't we be better served by the talking heads if they turned down the rhetoric?

Words and facts matter.

that if you sit & wait for him to play golf there, you won’t have to wait more than 24 hours.

It is common knowledge that his target golfs frequently. Often enough in fact, that he has drawn criticism for not putting more effort into his campaign. The perp rolled the dice and guessed right, but the secret service was alert and thwarted his plan.

. . . do not put facts at the top of their lists.

At the top of their lists is stirring up controversy because the dry facts don't attract viewers.

Maybe I watch too many detective type shows over my lifetime but learned not to assume the first thing is the correct one.

They left abandoned patrol cars blocking off Congress ave, Kirk rd, and Davis rd blocked off from traffic for two days.
If there were any deputies working, I can’t imagine what work they had to do?

Arguing against reality Is usually their thing, so I’ll leave it to them.

That said, the coverage seems excessive and particularly misguided given it’s being done to the exclusion of covering his and Vance’s hate- and fear-mongering that is having actual impact on a community.

They get a rest from the grind of deflecting his craziness 24/7. While they sleep, the media takes up the slack. It's like a symbiotic relationship.
