Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz is set to visit Macon and Atlanta on Tuesday to campaign for Kamala Harris, his first solo trip to the critical battleground state since accepting the nomination.

Walz will kick off a new campaign initiative aimed at turning out younger voters during the two-city tour, which marks his second trip to Georgia this campaign cycle. In late August, he and Harris joined a two-day bus tour that made several coastal Georgia stops.

Harris and former President Donald Trump are narrowing their focus on Georgia and a half-dozen other competitive states as the November election nears. U.S. Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running-mate, headlined a conservative gala in Cobb County on Monday.
