The American Justice System has failed this country.

Although they were not the only institution to fail, they are the one that the people most expected to defend our Constitution and to hold criminals accountable for their crimes. It did not happen. Even our Supreme Court fell prey to the cultish propaganda campaign against our democracy.

Mr Trump, the candidate for the Republican Party, now senses that he is going to lose the election on November 5th. He has become, and will become, even more violent as that day approaches. There is nothing he will not do in order to win, or to stop his opponent from ever claiming victory.

Nobody believes that it was an easy decision for our justice system. But, they chose to make exceptions for the crimes of Mr Trump. Perhaps they thought it would all just go away?

Win or lose, he is scheduled to be sentenced on November 26th, after the election, for crimes committed in the state of New York. That is the last chance to hold the convicted felon accountable. He once said that he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and he would not lose a vote. It now appears that he could stab our democracy to death in the middle of 5th Avenue and no one would hold him accountable.

Abuse of our logic, reason, culture, civilization, minds collectively and individually, narcissistic abuse that separated our emotions from our souls. And he's still at it, telling us Haitians are eating cats and dogs. Logic, reason, law, sanity never means anything to an abuser. Winning -- dominating -- is the only goal. Triumph and you can move on to the next victim.

But I must disagree with you on one point.

When you write...

"Nobody believes that it was an easy decision for our justice system. But, they chose to make exceptions for the crimes of Mr Trump. Perhaps they thought it would all just go away?"

....I believe you are wrongly giving a lot of people within our justice system the benefit of the doubt, because, for me, there is little doubt that key figures within the justice system are intentionally working on the side of trump by trying to "make it all go away" for him.

But I think the ones in positions of leadership were just too hesitant and fearful to do what needed to be done. Trump divided everything and everyone that he touched, including the Justice Dept. He was toxic.

Mr. trump is the only person in America that is above the law. He always was and he always will be. I predict he will skate as usual on November 26 and we'll be left wondering how this could possibly have happened.

More than two years ago, most of us were frustrated and angry that "nothing had been done" about Trump's crime spree, but we were comforted by the calendar. He would surely be brought to justice. He would be jailed. He would be disqualified from ever holding office again. He would be stopped.

We confidently expected SOMETHING would be done. But we were wrong. And even though I expect him to lose in November, I don't expect our "Trump problem" to go away, or even to subside.

I fear that next September we will still be here discussing the neverending toxic spectacle of Trump.

Our system has no answer for this line or level of criminality.

The system has rules. The country has laws to deal with it. Why aren't those in charge of enforcing the laws doing so? THAT is the real problem. Criminals exist. If you did any one of the things trump is accused of you would have been locked up for a very long time, long ago.

Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society groomed judges for their primarily extremist Catholic views and secondarily for corporatists who hold the federal government and its ability to regulate corporate actions and thus possibly decrease the profits flowing to wealthy shareholders—people like Leonard Leo. These judges were not groomed to consider the Constitutional protections of the people but rather how to bend the Constitution to the needs of their wealthy patrons. While the immunity decision was perplexing, in one way it was not. It was wealthy white people defending a member of their class.

I definitely view recent SCOTUS decisions as complicity more than they’re having been swayed by some “propaganda campaign.” Trump is just a means to an end for them.

But the failures are many, as well, including the policy violations of James Comey interfering in an election, and the common practice servility of Robert Mueller in failing to charge Trump for obstruction or pursuing ALL associated criminal leads.
