14% of Republicans would 'take action to overturn' the election if Trump loses, study finds

Nearly half of Republicans say they won’t accept the results of the presidential election if their candidate loses, and some of them say they would “take action to overturn” the results, according to data released Tuesday.

About a quarter of Democrats said they wouldn’t accept the results if their candidate loses, and fewer Democrats than Republicans said they would “take action to overturn” the results.

The nonpartisan World Justice Project, which keeps an index of how strong the rule of law is in more than 100 countries, gathered the data as part of a larger study. The poll was conducted through online interviews with 1,046 American households between June 10 and June 18.

The report did not ask people what specific “action” they would take to overturn the election results, just that that 46% of Republicans and 27% of Democrats wouldn't accept results, and 14% of Republicans compared to 11% of Democrats said they would "take action."

If that number reaches a higher percentage, then I'll be concerned.

AG Garland has been a disaster. However, there is one area you have to give credit. He went after rank and file harder than the top and Cheato early. That has put fear in the Proud Boy type of groups. They may be rotting in jail unless Cheato wins. Are they willing to take a risk and send more of the deplorables to jail? Probably not.

They all act like a 5-year-old screaming "it's not FAIR!" whenever they lose. Let's just start telling them that if they hate elections and democracy that badly, there's the door. Trump says that Venezuela is a paradise now. Why don't all of them move there?

OTOH: Maybe 93% of sane people will "take action" should the unthinkable occur. Just something else for MAGAts to think about, along with where the straw goes in a glass of lemonade.

A non-scientific poll taken three months ago resulted in such.

The entire notion of "not accepting election results" was invented by the media in 2016 and 2020. Never in the history of this country was there any notion that a candidate(or voters) had the choice to accept or not accept the results(I am not talking about asking for recounts). This entire thing was dreamed up by the media to create a story that doesn't exist. And now, eight years later, they are trying to generate clicks with the same nonsense.

So let me make this clear:

NO CANDIDATE OR VOTER HAS THE OPTION TO "NOT ACCEPT" ELECTION RESULTS. STOP THIS NARRATIVE.

This is one in 30 voters.
Not exactly a huge bloc.
Also, what % of that 14 is just talking tough & would never actually participate in "doing the right thing"? I'm guess it's well over half that are just doing some anonymous chest beating.

Maybe we should do that with the MAGA, otherwise we need to clear out an outer Aleutian Island to build a lock up for the Turd Reich.
