MD-SEN: Alsobrooks leads Hogan in Maryland Senate race: Poll

Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks (D) holds a lead over former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R), according to a new The Hill/DC News Now/Emerson College poll released on Tuesday.

Alsobrooks leads Hogan 49 percent to 42 percent among likely Maryland voters, according to the latest findings. Nine percent of likely voters said they were undecided.

The poll also found that 15 percent of Harris voters said they planned to split their ticket between Hogan and Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“In most Emerson state polling, the ticket splitting has benefited the Democratic statewide candidate — in Maryland it benefits the Republican,” said Spencer Kimball, the executive director of Emerson College Polling.

I figured he was a lock for the senate as he was a pretty popular governor. This is good news.
