The M$M is doing it again! Every time I turn on M$M--any channel-- I am seeing constant clips of Shady and the orange POS. They are getting constant free airtime. Nicolle Wallace was the only exception I saw today, but she did lead (and follow) with clips of them instigating yet MORE hate and violence, and calling Kamala a fascist. Granted, I am not watching 24/7, but it sure seems like Harris/Walz are getting the short end of the stick coverage-wise, while they race to cover (constantly) the shiny terror threats du jour. What is your experience?

(3,376 posts)But it doesn't change the fact that they are feeding the country a steady diet of fear and terror and TSF's constant train wreck!! People need to clearly see there is a sane alternative.

(35,082 posts)None of these people watch. They are aged 60-25.

(3,376 posts)That my college age sons and daughter, and their GFs and BF don't watch M$M either. Hard to believe no one is watching tho. The Reich-wing cetainly has a stranglehold on the radio airwaves.

(10,318 posts). . .as no Trump day/no horserace day. Absolutely no discussion of Trump or what his people are doing or saying. No images of Trump or Vance or other crazies. If a guest or host slips and says something about him just say "we've seen it all before" and move on. No stories about polls, good or bad.
Just one friggin day a week, drop the talking head formula. Talk to people on the ground. Take it on the road. Do stories on people phone banking, canvassing. Do stories showing the nation the faces of various campaigns -- we the People. Ask people what personal experiences motivated them to do what they are doing. What are their hopes and dreams. Talk to new activists and veterans. Go behind the scenes with elections officials. Focus on voting systems in a given state -- importance of verifying your registration. Present analyses of what the child tax credit did during the pandemic and talk to real people about what it meant to their lives and how bringing it back will help. Focus on a couple families. Don't just quote a one sentence statistic. Present analysis of the GI bill and how federal aid for homeownership, education, health insurance, etc. transformed the country. Talk to people from different walks of life about the effect on their lives. Present the numbers -- cost as a percentage of GDP. how we paid for it, and how it increased the tax base. Draw comparisons to how Kamala's credit for first time homebuyers could change lives with concrete examples. Maybe segments like Balmer's on real immigration numbers.
I don't know, but it seems to me there are so many inspiring or informative things that could be covered on the "no trump no horserace" days (need a clever name). I've emailed various MSNBC addresses with the notion. If you like the idea, perhaps do the same. Having a "special reports" day with creative segments that are a complete break from the usual formula could be a boon to viewership too.

(58,568 posts)Then I might invest in TV service of some sort.

(3,376 posts)And i do think it could boost viewership. People are sick of the hyperventilating "razor-thin" horse race narrative.

(10,318 posts)Should be doable.
A person can dream.
And keep sending email. I guess I need to find tweeter feeds for the shows too.
