Unfortunately, the editors, safely ensconced within, won't likely see it. But I love the spunk of the protesters!

Might even send out coffee and donuts like the Fox people did when I was outside their building with a big picket sign.

But don’t EVER fool yourself about the power of denial. It is stronger than ANY other motivation imaginable. Denial can “make it all go away”. And when it’s planted, nurtured, and allowed to grow up around your neck to start strangling you, it also becomes too powerful to beat back or strangle back.

But never mind! It HAS to be resisted, fought, and ultimately CONQUERED.

When the agent asked me why I was canceling, I said, "Your paper has morphed into Fox News in print, and doesn't even pretend it's not promoting Trump." I could tell that the agent understood and was indeed - to the extent one can discern an attitude from vocal inflexions - in agreement, and was probably hearing a lot of that.

Did the same years ago, canceling via chat. I was chatting with a rep from nearby Davenport, IA. Told her I was canceling b/c of their poor coverage. She basically wrote back, 'I hear ya'."

I only wish I could cancel it every day.

...even earlier with "Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction" or even earlier, the idiot Maureen Dowd's" efforts to make how Al Gore looked in a suit as an important issue.

My wife and I miss a few things about the Sunday Times, but she agrees that principle is more important than reading the Book Review.

I haven't bought an NYT since 2000 because of their war against Al Gore and I'll never buy one. Bravo to the protesters who are now holding the NYT's feet to the fire. The NYT is treating the 2024 campaign the same way they did in 2000. They're attacking V.P. Harris while they ignore the hateful, unhinged lunacy of the orange turd.

Yeah, and others think Maureen Dowd is the stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics. Those people are right. As Bob Somerby explained in March 2007:

In Dowd's work, John Edwards is routinely “the Breck Girl” (five times so far -- and counting), and Gore is “so feminized that he's practically lactating.” Indeed, two days before we voted in November 2000, Dowd devoted her entire column, for the sixth time, to an imaginary conversation between Gore and his bald spot. “I feel pretty,” her headline said (pretending to quote Gore's inner thoughts). That was the image this idiot wanted you carrying off to the voting booth with you! Such is the state of Maureen Dowd's broken soul. And such is the state of her cohort [Ann Coulter].

And now, in the spirit of fair play and brotherhood, she is extending this type of “analysis” to Barack Obama. In the past few weeks, she has described Obama as “legally blonde” (in her headline); as “Scarlett O'Hara” (in her next column); as a “Dreamboy,” as “Obambi,” and now, in her latest absurd piece, as a “schoolboy” (text below). Do you get the feeling that Dowd may have a few race-and-gender issues floating around in her inane, tortured mind?

The archives at the Daily Howler blog are the only written record that I'm aware of that documents in great detail, the media's war against Al Gore. The Washington Post and the NYT were the ring leaders.

The Daily Howler is the only written record that fully document's the media's war against Al Gore in 2000 with many many many specific examples of the media's bias.

to cover this protest with the same coverage that they gave to President Biden's far less severe mental problems. I would wait, but I'm old, I don't think that I will live that long.
