It is not just Springfield, Democrats are being race-baited into

talking about identity politics everywhere. We want to talk about Trump policies on the whole instead. Remember the majority of Americans are for deportation of undocumented immigrants. We need to talk about inequality, MAGA wealthy trying to kneecap the middleclass by doing things like forcing people to repay already forgiven student loans, the ACA, Project 25, etc . I know race baiting feels like a five alarm fire that needs to be put out but we need to put out more policy contrasts than just immigration and anti-bias ideas.. (Applegrove)

Here is another example:

Opinion
Sen. John Kennedy used a Senate hearing on hate crimes to spew hate

A senator’s racist attack on a witness in a hearing was appalling even by Trump era standards.

"SNIP..........

On Tuesday, the executive director of the Arab American Institute, Maya Berry, appeared as a witness before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify on an issue that should garner concern across the political spectrum: hate crimes. In both her prepared statement and her testimony, Berry apprised lawmakers of the need for stronger enforcement of the law to tackle the country’s growing "hate crime crisis."

She acknowledged both Jewish and Arab American victims of hate crimes, and shared statistics on those crimes’ effects on all kinds of demographic groups, including Black Americans, Asian Americans and members of the LBGTQ community.

It’s difficult to imagine how a reasonable person could take issue with Berry’s comments, other than to interrogate how effective the hate crime enforcement model is. But in a shocking display, Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., demonstrated that he is not a reasonable person.

Instead, Kennedy used the hearing as an opportunity to launch a series of racist attacks on Berry, centered around accusations that she supports terrorism. His repugnant broadsides were a stunning illustration both of why the panel was being held in the first place and how politicians use ad hominem attacks to try to silence criticism of Israel.

Don't let Russians calling in bomb threats hog the news cycle. That is what they want. I am as guilty of it as anyone. Of course you call out racist attacks in Springfield and Dayton and US Congress. But don't give it airtime for a week.

2. Racism or its awareness is always there. I heard it growing up, but it had no volition to it.

Now that it is activated, i have no idea what to think. Diversity it an antidote. Hopefully women running things will be much more tolerant. The fewer MAGA offspring the better.

I think we are being race-bated into showing egalitarian compassion in the face of the right's racism.

Our side isn’t talking about race in a vacuum. When the media wants to keep amplifying Trump’s nonsense because he is losing and they want to help him, our side has to respond forcefully and decisively to keep our coalition together. We are talking about other polices but if all the media wants to talk about is eating pets and Trump you can’t hand waive hate when you need Black and Brown voters to show up in huge numbers for you. Kamala has to shore up her support with young Black and Latino men to win and what is happening to Haitians is pissing off those same young Black men (middle aged ones like myself) which will get folks pumped to GOTV
