Ohio U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno (R) questioned why a certain group of women would be concerned about abortion during an event in the state, WCMH reports.

Said Moreno: “You know, the left has a lot of single issue voters. Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion is it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’ … OK. It’s a little crazy by the way, but — especially for women that are like past 50 — I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s (abortion) an issue for you.’”

1. It seems to me that MAGA/Trump is/are trying to splinter

voting blocs: Jews, African-Americans from Caribbean-Americans, African-Americans from Hispanics, older women from young women (as referenced in the OP).

I know it's incredible to suggest we have some kind of mass psychosis happening, that so many people can be lacking the innate sense of empathy which would signal that person is psychotic, but I truly believe this is what's happening.

I'm a 58yo gay man who has never and will never need an abortion, but hell yeah, I care a lot about women having access to reproductive (and other!) healthcare.

Moreno's clearly just trying to befuddle people who can't reason out his actual goal of saying something that idiotic.

They have aa solid bloc that will vote. If everybody voted that would be an overall minority.
BUT - if they can talk people out of voting - mostly wishy-washy Dems - then the possibility of their minority winning greatly increases.

That is why so many say that not voting is the same as voting MAGA.

10. What it comes down to is that his type are afraid of women, especially powerful women.

He sees the crowds Kamala is getting everywhere she goes (take a look at the Oprah town hall) and he knows it's the women that are going to put a woman in office, so he's trying to get women not to vote.

13. Does he think these women over 50 who can no longer reproduce and therefore

shouldn't care about a woman's right to abortion. Does he not think these women don't care about their daughters or granddaughters or their nieces? Or any woman?
