"How are the steaks at our next hotel, and how long will it take to get there? Okay then, let's round up a couple of Bozos in the parking lot for some photos, and I'll say a few lines before we hit the road. Oh shit, that's Peter on my cell. Hope he's not pissed about something. Gotta take this."

(3,544 posts)JD Vance hasn't felt so dissed since the girl he asked to prom told him she'd be out of town that night (and then went with Trey Young instead).

(17,190 posts)Could there be some nefarious reason for not releasing the video/pics?
Were they not allowed to?
Were the guest reduced to running to the restrooms to puke? 🤮
So many questions!

(18,947 posts)... that the trump team paid for all the customers orders after all the customers cancelled their orders...

(2,221 posts)I got the impression that the Vance group paid for the drinks that had been served before the orders were cancelled. But Vance sure did make it sound like he had paid for whole meals.

(72 posts)would have been if she got there while he was still begging for attention in the parking lot. This is close to the "Rudy by the dumpsters in a porn shop alley" debacle.

(574 posts)I love seeing MAGA scum get treated the way they treat women, people of color, LGBT people and other marginalized groups.
I hope this trend continues and spreads. MAGAs should be outcasts, reviled, not welcome in public, scorned, and treated like the dog 💩 they are.
They demanded a climate where division and discrimination are legal rights. Let us hope that theyre divided from society and encounter nothing but endless discrimination and isolation until theyve learned their lesson.
Im feeling great schadenfreude in watching their smug entitlement get thrown back in their faces.

(13,637 posts)Or doesn't know how Campaigns stops work.
While a local handler might suggest the candidate drop in to someplace interesting and make small talk/get selfies while actually getting something that catches their eye, campaigns don't just "drop in and chat with the locals" with camera crews tagging along without getting permission from the manager. The local handler and staff asks first and clears it with the managers before they bring the crews in for the Q and A or stump speech.
The location is always vetted first. The staff should have a schedule that includes when a candidate might like a pit stop or nosh or quick stump speech, gets a list of locations in the area, and scout them out first, warning the owner or the manager Secret Service will be dropping by.
Because handlers and staff know how disruptive a visit would be to a business, and potentially embarrassing it is if the business wasn't favorably inclined to being a campaign or political stop, such as what happened with Vance's donut buy.
His staff must hate him. Because they seem to be dropping the ball a lot.

his first stop was scheduled to be Pennsylvania. When he confirmed that he'd be passing through Pittsburgh, Jon Stewart told him to be sure to visit Primantis. I tried to visit their Web site, but couldn't get in -- their server was stuck in a traffic jam!

(5,204 posts)For the most part, the people there are very friendly & except all religions and ethnicity. I love the city where I was born and raised. And I am proud of the fact that when the steel mills shut down and moved out. the people did not whine and boohoo, it took a while but they dug in and reinvented themselves. It is now a clean, beautiful city thriving with top grade restaurants, hotels, all kinds of music events, sports and tourism. It is known for it's medical research and technical centers today instead of steel.
