I had no idea of how deep their involvement with RW orgs was. Time to move past merely shunning their products in the store and to get the word out.

I got weekly meals including tacos. But, BJs only sells Goya. OK, maybe a first world problem because there are tons of stores here and I can get beans there, but it annoys me every time I shop.

They chose it because they know it signifies Nazi ties.

Oh, if Truman hadn't been such a pathetic spineless piece of crap and let the DOJ crush all those Nazi collaborators as the traitors they were. The country would have been in a much better place if he Truman hadn't put "these guys are my friends from congress and the senate" above these are people who committed treason and should have all died in prison -- likely executed because of the times but otherwise life sentences.

The most angering part of Maddow's podcast was realizing that it was the first of the treasonous plots to get zero consequences for Republicans. So, they continued with the plots and the ties to Nazi groups.

and they are cheaper than Goya’s brand, also! So it is a double win for us. I heard a while back that Goya was ran by a big-time RWer which is probably why “Miss Congeniality” is their spokesmodel.

Cancel Culture Tries to Cow Goya Foods’ Bob Unanue

It looks like Bob Unanue, the CEO of Goya Foods Inc., may be the first American corporate leader to stand up to cancel culture and tell the mob he’s not scared. But he has fulfilled an even more important role.

The farcical attempt by liberal politicians and celebrities to boycott Goya products because Unanue visited the White House last week and—shocker—praised its inhabitant shows for the umpteenth time that ethnic identity groups were created as vehicles for the introduction of leftist policies in America. Conservatives beware.

Leftist activists intimidated bureaucrats into officializing these groups because they sought to use them as agents of change, which is why progressives today will attempt to discipline harshly those who stray. A pliant media will play along.

I immediately stopped buying anything from them and there is A LOT that they sell. Whole sections of the supermarket (shelf space, refrigerator space, and freezer space) are devoted to their products as they cover a broad swath of the Hispanic food market.

Found substitutes for everything (including still making my own stuff like sofrito).

…. always good and their dried black beans following the instructions on the package
made great refried beans but after the head of the company came out in support of
of the criminal that Putin had installed in the White House and the grifting Ivanka* did
promo work for the company I have tried to avoid their products.

Btw I thought that after the first time after the back lash of the Trump/Goya connection
and the head of the company resigned to stop the boycott of their products they had
learned their lesson. I guess not.

From Wiki: “Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue is a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, praising his presidency in 2020, which prompted a boycott of Goya products. After Trump lost the 2020 election, Unanue said the election was illegitimate and that Trump was "the real, the legitimate, and the still actual president".“

* which crossed so many ethical and even legal lines…. You can’t use the White House
to promote products.
