OK State Dept of Ed head, Ryan Walters, to purchase 55,000 Bibles for schools. Describes tRump Bibles!

This is crooked as can be... I think this guy wants to be Secretary of Gilead in the next tRump administration, after they gut the DOE.

Time for a student bonfire event .... We will never get the money back and they will escape prosecution...so, why not burn them in a message protest? Just an idea.

Because only the version written in the 1600s, three thousand years after the initial folktales were scribbled down on parchment, is "historically accurate".

In Utah they even had Book of Mormon as well.

It doesn't work to push radical any religion on kids. They will rebel and go the opposite direction.

Teachers in that highschool were really good. Somehow Mormons are able to put their religious views in a box and keep them separate from their practical daily views. It was the control of the church that I had a problem with.

I lived in Japan earlier in life and the Mormon missionaries all spoke excellent Japanese. They have amazing language curriculum.

Published September 27, 2024 at 4:00 AM CDT

... State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced in his annual budget proposal $3 million was already being spent on classroom Bibles, and the board voted to ask the legislature for an additional $3 million ...

The request comes three months after Walters announced schools would be required to have Bibles in classrooms and teachers would be required to teach about them. A survey published earlier this month by StateImpact found among the 54 district superintendent respondents, about 90% say they are not changing their instructional practices to teach the Bible, and about two-thirds say they will not supply physical copies of the Bible ...
