Being mean & cruel is exactly what they want.

Like many of you here, since the infamous 2015 escalator ride, I have tried to understand the appeal of Donald Trump to so many Americans.
How has it endured now for almost 10 years.
What am I missing that almost half of my fellow Americans see as positive qualities.
And after looking at all of the normal things that you do in politics such as shared policies or tribalism or media sources, etc., I have decided it’s something much more basic.

Many people simply enjoy and crave cruelty.
It’s why boxing and professional fake wrestling, and ultimate fighting are so popular.
Men (and the many women that obey them) see cruelty as a virtue not a vice.
They believe in a vengeful God, not a loving one.
They approve of hellfire and damnation sermons from their pulpits, not the love & compassion that Jesus was supposedly all about.
They see the world as an us against them competition in EVERYTHING.
That’s why the red vs blue scenario works for them in politics just like in picking their sports teams.

It’s simple. My team is great. Their team is evil and must be destroyed.
Trump is the ultimate con man with no values of his own other than collecting as much praise and adoration as a malignant narcissist can acquire.
My mommy and daddy didn’t love me, dammit. The world will now love me or I will destroy it.

So making fun of the disabled is ok.
Treating the less fortunate as inferior and not to be helped is ok.
Calling military veterans and heroes that lose lives or limbs is ok because they were stupid suckers and losers for putting something ahead of themselves. What idiots.
Raping and abusing women is ok because as the “weaker sex’”, women were put here for a man’s enjoyment and they can’t fight back against a strong 💪 man.

I could go on forever.
But my point is that CRUELTY is the point.
A mean, savage, authoritarian dictator that has been ordained by a vengeful God to punish the weak is what he and his cult following is all about.
And half of our country loves him for just that reason and would follow him anywhere.

And that makes me weep for the country that I love and see slipping away into cruelty.
We have 30 days to decide, America. Love or Hate. Pretty simple choice.

Registered republicans only make up about 32% of registered voters and only 69% of Americans of age are registered.

And of that republican 32%, not all are in it for the sadism, although they do obviously support it.
