7. I am not even sure Trump cares, I think the deal is - if he gets elected, he will

either pardon himself and everybody else and then step down for "health reasons". Trump doesn't want the job, he wants a way to stay out of prison and be a big hero to the Maga. Vance was selected to institute Project 2025 and who knows what he would choose for VP. I think the deal has been made with Trump long ago when he decided to run again.

Didn't Trump mention something about changing or revising the 25th Amendment? It was several weeks ago, a comment thrown out during a rally blathering. Thought it was strange then but chalked it up to paranoia from all the chatter at the end of his first term, his increasingly erratic behavior.

But a deal under the table doesn't sound all that off the charts. Anything to stay out of jail and the Tech Bros get their heart's desire: unlimited power in a world where all Americans are required to get over their democracy fetish.
