Minnesota GOP Senate candidate: 'The bad guys won in WWII'

)
As the control of the Senate hangs in the balance, GOP candidates across the country are facing a similar problem: Troubling and bizarre past statements, both in-person and on social media, are coming back to haunt them. But in Minnesota, Royce White is an even more extreme case.

In a tweet from 2022 that has since resurfaced, White claims that “‘bad guys” won the second world war, saying, “The bad guys won in WWII. There were no ‘good guys’ in that war. The controlling interests had a jump ball. If you look closely, you see the link between liberalism and communism in the Allied forces.”

As is known to most, the Allied forces were fighting to defeat the Nazis and eliminate genocidal fascism that had taken hold of much of Europe and Asia, not advancing “controlling interests.” White also erroneously claimed that General George Patton was murdered; in reality, the general died in 1945 from complications from a car crash.

White also has a habit of alienating voters, including members of his own party. In one recent exchange, he called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell “RINO Scum.” In another, he called National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair Steve Daines a “RINO & Neocon” and indicated he would “track [Republicans] down and weed [them] out if they aren’t extreme enough.”

In one specific interaction from Monday, White told a potential voter to “pull their skirt down” and that “nobody cares about your preferences,” to which the voter replied “f— you then! You just lost my families support.”

Every repube needs to be pinned down on that. They disgraced themselves and their party by siding with the freaking violent attack on America. No honor (R).

But I still can’t get over the way the GOP everywhere manages to come up with the most deranged, loathsome and unqualified candidates. The MN GOP used to have people like Dave Durenburger and Arne Carlson. Even that nasty-ass Norm Coleman wasn’t as bad as Royce White.

He was up against Joe Frazier a decorated Navy Veteran who White just managed to beat. I heard stories that some democrats voted in the Republican primary to ensure White won.

In Minnesota, we don’t have to declare which party we belong to…we just vote all democrat or all republican in primaries, so it was quite easy to accomplish.

I feel sure Amy Klobuchar would have won against anyone, but it is much much easier against White!

I believe it was the 75th anniversary of D-Day we had posters claiming the US troops were white supremacists who were no better than the Nazis they fought...

I have no doubts Klobuchar will beat this clown

I had an interaction with a prolific poster on the forum who informed me there was no moral difference between the allies and Germans because of Dresden. And who could forget the most recent Memorial Day when another poster said that the only US soldiers worth honoring were those who directly defended our freedom. So Vietnam Vets, Gulf War 1 and 2 vets, Korean vets were not worthy of being honored. Real gross completely nutty stuff.

So no surprises for who he thought the bad guys were.

A frequent guest on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, he has occasionally slid into the hosting chair while Bannon – former chief strategist to Donald Trump – serves time in prison for contempt of Congress.
...
While playing in Big3 games, he’s written political slogans on his bald scalp including “United States of the Federal Reserve”, “Deep state” and “Alex Jones was right” – his campaign website currently includes an endorsement from the conspiracy theorist.

A watchdog group has alleged in a complaint to the Federal Elections Commission that his House campaign spent more than $150,000 (£117,000) on White’s personal expenses including gym fees, clothing and bills at a strip club.

He has repeated conspiracy theories about the coronavirus pandemic and about “Jewish elites", and also made public statements that have raised the ire of people in his party and out, such as saying that “women have become too mouthy”.

They've been doing this for years. Take a race like Minnesota where a "mainstream" Republican might have a chance to win but Republican primary voters always choose the extreme crazy people to blow any chance of winning. This guy is almost as bad as Robinson in the NC Governor's race. One thing for the Democrats to be thankful to the Republicans for.

Check out his article describing just a small amount of his idiocy:

MAGA podcaster Royce White's primary win is disastrous for Minnesota Republicans
--------
One of the ways White has sought to do that is through rank misogyny. I wrote earlier this year about how White went viral over comments he made in a resurfaced podcast interview with Bannon, in which White claimed women have become “too mouthy” these days. Politically speaking, White is a walking red flag who is likely to provide his opponent with what seems like a library’s worth of sound bites to work with in the coming months.

That includes his use of homophobic and misogynistic slurs to attack people online, his antisemitic rhetoric, his embrace of 9/11 conspiracy theories, and it's possible that his use of campaign funds at a Miami strip club in 2022 could come up.
