Go to Oath.vote and click on Search Candidates at the top. Or if you'd rather send your money where it will do the most good, their site is set up to suggest races that are close in polling and just need a boost to flip. They will not spam you or sell your info.
I just sent Jon Tester $50. I did not get the 3x match that I could have had using the ActBlue link he posted on twitter, but at least I won't keep getting unwanted texts and emails from everywhere. If that sort of thing bothers you, please consider using this resource instead of traditional channels.

I learned about this site from former DUer brooklynite. We did not see eye to eye on a lot of things, but I generally found his contributions beneficial, if a bit contrarian. I always wondered how the wealthy made their donations to a lot of races without getting overwhelmed by unwanted communications…. Well, this is how.

(2,263 posts)Works great when they can’t reach your phone, or your email, AND you get the 3x match. For style points, give them the number of that really hateful MAGAt neighbor down the block.

(51,186 posts)Or so it seems. I ignored my phone for about a day and when I had time to check it there were 32 texts begging for money.

(57,641 posts)Give me an address where I can send a real letter with a check in it, or don't bother asking.
Unfortunately, this occurred to me years after I had given out my info to all sorts of causes (and Act Blue), so until I change my email and phone numbers, I will continue to be inundated every election season. Spam boxes and recycling get more attention than they deserve, but that was my fault for not figuring this out earlier.

(7,124 posts)Duck Addresses keep your email identity hidden and can be easily deactivated. Every email forwarded has a link at the top to disable that address whenever you want, and you'll never see mail from that source again.
I can give out unlimited free DuckDuckGo private email addresses any time without ever worrying about spam or it getting sold. And with the browser plug-in, I just right-click and "Generate Private Duck Address" and it automatically fills the form field with a forwarding address, like this one: abroad-smooth-crop@duck.com

(10,407 posts)Who can send me the most texts or emails asking for donations before the election. So far Jeffries leads in texts while Nancy Pelosi leads in emails.
