Passed hundreds of houses.....maybe 30 Trump signs, 1 Harris sign. Kind of suburban Philly, so hopefully I was just in a bad part of town. I'll be volunteering in PA soon!

wanting people to record Harris supporters Addresses.

(10,354 posts)I haven't put up a sign in years. Too much vandalism and creates neighborhood disputes. My home is my safe haven and I have no desire to turn it into a war zone. With all the creepy, crazy Magats out there I think it is a real concern.

(445 posts)They cheerfully advertise their hate and ignorance. Harris voters are understandably cautious because of the MAGAT hate, violence, racism and tendency to attack in retribution. A Harris voter that puts a sign out here in dark pink suburban/rural PA is brave indeed.

(11,519 posts)And yes, the Trump signs are prolific. Get closer to Swarthmore and the Harris/Walz signs start popping up. There are areas in Delco that are still very pro-Trump. Bethel Twp., for instance. We take a back route to avoid the traffic and lights on Rt 1 (Baltimore Pike). The area is somewhat rural in nature and awash in Trump signage.
But then the same was true in 2020, and Biden took Pennsylvania. Harris will do the same.

(328 posts)I live in south central Pennsylvania, a deeply red area. While there are more Trump signs about than there are for Harris, Trumpers made the 2020 campaign fervor almost akin to a civil war, with Trump signs numerous and everywhere, even flying from the back of their pickup trucks. I don't see the frequency and intensity as much for this campaign; despite ongoing reality denials, many Trumpers are exhausted by all of their hatred, and deep within aware that Trumpism isn't the right path forward. Those of us who are for Harris are quietly passionate here, but don't put up signs as we don't want bricks flying through our windows after midnight. Winning by intimidation is a standard page out of the Trump playbook...
