Took the train to San Francisco, then rode the N Judah street car to the end of the line. Walked across the street and there it was!
Seriously, I observe today as Encounter Day, marking the event that, for better or worse, made the hemispheres aware of each other. The books "1491" and "1493" should be required reading for this day.
