That thing Trump did last night is not explainable and it is not small. It shows that hes increasingly detached from reality. Everyone knows if Biden or Harris did that it would be media mayhem. Hes not ok, and you cant ignore it anymore.

It is jarring reading a 2024 campaign story that is written correctly. This is one of them.
You will be shocked while reading it by how simple it is to cover this guy correctly through the lens of reality and how rarely you see articles like this.

(21,903 posts)All of the networks would have interupted regularly scheduled programming for an emergency broadcast. "America in crisis!!!" This would be getting wall to wall coverage the way 9/11 got non stop coveragve for weeks. Every channel would be covering this dire national emergency.

(11,993 posts)The Times has endorsed Harris for President but sane washes Trump and Vance as if they are normal humans. Some of their opinion writers still hammer away at Harris for not being exactly what they want her to be while others push for Trump. On most days, the Trump/Vance articles will far outnumber anything about Harris/Walz.

All to get to this
Sorry, hes just not mentally capable to stand trial.
Only my opinion.

(3,584 posts)He mentioned Trump's "famous playlist" (as if such a thing existed). The New York Times then dutifully reported on the "playlist," adding that Trump often plays DJ at Mar-a-Lago. This is all complete nonsense. The NYT is completely unbelievable on this one. Like, you can't wrap your head around their atrocious, unethical behavior.

(9,905 posts)That TSF could just fart directly into the face of any reporter that ask him a question and they will still call it the best interview they have ever done.
The news media wants him to be president so bad they will literally do and say anything to see it happen.
Chaos and suffering sells more news that peace and prosperity.

(1,168 posts)At Evangelical events people in the audience stand with their hands in the air swaying to music for long stretches of time. I think Trump has been intentionally emulating that. As with all things Trump, he first "tests the waters" to see what works on his audience and what he can get away with and then ramps up whatever the particular rhetoric and/or behavior might be.
