Gotta wonder...

Given the homophobia that is so rampant in MAGA world, I wonder how many of those Trump supporters who swayed with Trump to the strains of Village People's "YMCA" understood that they were swaying to one of the signature gay anthems of the '70s -- a song written as a euphemistic celebration of men cruising other men for sex at the local Y. Inquiring minds want to know!

I am convinced they are using the music to subliminally manipulate his followers. chowder66 Oct 16 #6

People on their side might “shove them into shallow water, before they get too deep”.

There are other gay themed songs that are played. Or songs that don’t mean what they probably think .

James Brown’s It’s a man’s world
Point is, that man would be nothing without women. Man is lost, Man is bitter.
Actual words in the song. They must think the hook It’s a man’s world means dominance.

But we are not talking about thinking folks here.

I am surprised Bruce Springsteen's anthem wasn't on Trump's playlist since dummies often misinterpret the message of that song too.

... along with most of the major performing artists who don't want any connection with Chump's candidacy.

It's more about someone using the YMCA to get their life back on track
