Nearly 11,000 North Korean Troops In Russia Preparing To Enter The Fight Says Ukraine's Spy Boss

There are now nearly 11,000 North Korean infantry troops training in eastern Russia to fight in Ukraine, the head of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate (GUR) told The War Zone Thursday afternoon.

“They will be ready [to fight in Ukraine] on Nov. 1,” Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov told TWZ.

The North Korean troops will be using Russian equipment and ammunition, said Budanov. The first cadre of 2,600 soldiers will go to Kursk, where Ukraine has established a heavily fought-over foothold (more on that later). It is unclear where the remaining North Korean troops will go, he added.

“We don’t have the full picture right now,” said Budanov.

Pyongyang’s forces, as we previously noted, have already been killed in Ukraine.

Would have a right to attack north Korea though I don't think they have the capacity to do it.

They've taken territory inside Russia proper and continue to hold the majority of it.
You're wrong, Ukraine has shown that they can adapt to a changing battlefield environment quite adeptly and I expect that they'll do so again against the Norks.

I foresee a lot more defections from the Norks to get away from their terrorist state.
Hope Ukraine is ready for those poor Norks attempting to surrender and defect.

Despite the restrictions, North Korea does have an active fleet of cargo ships and oil tankers plying the seas (That’s one of the ways they earn foreign currency). Considering what the Ukrainians can do with their air and sea drones, I suspect that NK sea captains and crew will have grounds for worry if they’re in the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, or near the horn of Africa.

Hit them as they're staging for deployment. NK may lose it's enthusiasm to be cannon fodder for Putin.

If Ukraine is able they have a right and should hit them before they even leave their port. Conduct an airstrike on North Korean airbases and naval ports.

I guess they could have gone the lo-o-o-ong way around to avoid entangling with other nations, but that is definitely the lo-o-o-ong way.
