As with practically everything that comes out of Trump's foul mouth, the "enemy within" is pure projection.

The real enemy within is FOX NEWS, a pure propaganda outfit that lies for their own side and trashes opponents, regardless of the truth.

The real enemy within is Newsmax, OAN, and the myriad of right-wing media whose job it is to build up hatred against Dems and glorify the scum on their side.

The real enemy within is The Heritage Foundation, who cooked up Project 2025 to dismantle the social advances we have made here and turn this country into a dictatorship.

The SCOTUS is also in this group, dismantling our rights and clearing a path for the dictator.

These titans of avarice and hubris have decided democracy doesn't suit them, too slow, too cumbersome; that the Constitution needs an overhaul, maybe toss it out entirely; and that anything with a whiff of social welfare or communal aspiration be tossed to the trash bin because with all their money and future profits in mind, they know best.

They have the money, now they want absolute power to reshape the world in their own craven images, and then, once in power, control the 'little people' to do their bidding.

Trump is the hollow vessel to accomplish these goals. His madness is a plus because Vance is the Lady-in-Waiting positioned to implement the program from the inside, along with an army of hand-picked loyalists. The True Believers are the shock troops, the enforcers who will betray family and friends who step outside the newly drawn lines.

Hyperbole?

Not really. This picture show has run endlessly throughout human history be it performed by Monarchs, Feudal Lords, Warlords, Inquisitors, Dictators, etc.

It never ends well.
