I would think a draft would be far more likely to happen under Trump.

In reality, there is almost 0 chance of a draft happening at all.

that sooner or later (at the point where he is no longer useful to them), Trump's dictator buddies will all turn on him. Their plans are obviously to weaken the US before then. - and Trump's "plans" would certainly do that.

If it ends up costing them too much money and/or does not make the billionaires and multi-millionaires money it will eventually be gone.

apply them to others. It is like after Obama's speech where he was urging young black men to look at themselves to determine what their hesitation is in voting for Kamala. Immediately after his speech, I heard a reporter say that he was scolding them and that was not going to go over well. Then for 2 days I heard that was the opinion of young black men, but it came from the media so are they putting this into their heads or are they just making shit up?

by them, either through hearing others say it or in the way the questions are asked. It was reported out before anyone would have interviewed them; within minutes after airing it.

No one, and I mean NO ONE has talked about actually reinstating the draft. Absolute dumbfuckery.

of the draft would feel about being drafted into the army to round up fellow Americans when it comes to that? Abd civilians at that. Already some IDF members who had been involved in the GAZA war are committing suicide.

and it naturally scares young people. IMO, it's slavery and should be permanently abolished and it's prohibition enshrined in the constitution. Here are the most recent examples of this dumbassery and shit like this gets around on social media:

"By using available federal databases, the [Selective Service] agency will be able to register all of the individuals required and thus help ensure that any future military draft is fair and equitable," Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D–Pa.) said on the House floor. "This will also allow us to rededicate resources—basically that means money—towards reading readiness and towards mobilization…rather than towards education and advertising campaigns driven to register people."

The draft is a hobby horse for Houlahan, an Air Force veteran. She also spearheaded a House bill in 2021 to require women to register with the Selective Service, effectively doubling the draft pool.

There is a growing centrist consensus among liberals and hawkish conservatives on expanding the Selective Service. The American Civil Liberties Union, for example, is fighting for the right of women to be conscripted and argues that the Selective Service is an example of overt sex discrimination.

But equality in the service of a broader deprivation of rights is no virtue, and conscription remains an immoral institution at its core.
