HILLARY CLINTON - FTW!

Last edited Fri Oct 25, 2024, 08:36 AM - Edit history (1)

COLLINS: What do you think Kamala Harris has to do to avoid a repeat of 2016?

HILLARY CLINTON: Well first of all I don't think she has Jim Comey in the wings waiting to kneecap her, so that's good.

in the polls in 2016, intentionally ignoring what Comey did, yet implying that same underrepresentation in 2024 is a false flag.

In fact it might be argued that in 2024 Democrats are being underrepresented in the polls as they were in 2022 when that supposed red wave never materialized.

What makes me really wonder about the polls is when they say while the majority of African Americans support VP Harris, but up to 10% African Americans support trump. I really question that, and wonder about their sampling.

Another contradiction I see is in the issue of abortion. Overwhelmingly voters support the right to choose, and Roe, especially among women, of both parties. There are more women than men, and I wonder if the distribution of women in the polls is adequately being factored in.

I think young people are being also being underrepresented.

But most of all it is hard for me to believe that the majority in this country would want such a vile and disgusting man as trump in the White House, including the swing states.

Our biggest challenge as it was for Hillary is the misrepresentations that are propagated by media pundits in the 24/7 news cycle.

Immediately after Biden took office in 2020, the media editorialized as “news reporting”, that he was too old. And sure enough the polls reflected that view, ignoring trump’s age, because the media never focused on that.

Since VP Harris became our nominee the media has been pushing we don’t know where she stands on the issues, or we have no details about her positions, completely ignoring trump’s incoherence on the issues, and rambling, using the excuse that “people already know trump, they do not know Harris is, which of course is nonsense.

From perspective it is the media’s pundits that influence the polling results, instead of actual facts, which is why the Harris campaign has been campaigning massively to inform the voters of her positions and plans, something that the press has failed miserably at.

If a four star general came out publicly and said the Democratic candidate was a fascist in the closing days of the election, you would hear wall to wall coverage of the 24/7 media pushing that theme while parading republican pundits across their outlets amplifying that 24/7, as they did with Comey 11 days before the general election.

I think the reminders and recent revelations through books and interviews of the danger trump poises 2 weeks before the election, might have an impact that isn’t accounted for in the polls.

Information to the public that would allow them to make good decision making. The Media is no longer interesting in being a check on power, those days have long passed.

The Media is owned by a few oligarchs who are only interested in owning more and having a seat at the dinner table with the power brokers.

The Oligarchs who own the media determine “their personal agenda” and then direct their dogs of war to pursue that agenda. This thought applies to Print and Electronic Media.

Each GOP administration turned such agencies on their heads, so that they worked for corporations instead of 'consumers'.

I'm not here to criticize Hillary, because I think the world of her. Some mistakes were made on her campaign and I think both Joe and Kamala have benefitted from the learning experience.

The fact that Hillary and Bernie Sanders never really kissed and made up - that was a major blunder. (I put the blame solidly on Bernie for that one.) There wasn't much effort to court the black voters, I guess they assumed that whoever voted for Obama would also vote for Hillary. Big mistake! Kamala has not overlooked that important segment of the Democratic Party.

I could go on, but the point is that Kamala's campaign has been very savvy and smart. She's standing on tall shoulders, because Hillary's campaign was the first courageous attempt.

It had nothing to do with "not courting Black voters" -- she had those votes more than Sanders ever did.

There was a lot of backlash ready to make bad noise and photo-ops in states like Ohio, and the campaign calculated a net negative for her if she were to go. Better to send people who were likely to get a positive reception there, and save her time for places that would yield better results.

I actually think the polls were right in 16 and when Comey did his little piece of shit report I think it caused some people to stay home. It's hard enough to get Dems out to vote but with that people were likely thinking they were just never going to leave her alone. So these new polls where they say they are compensating for under counting repubs last time are now over counting repubs.
