In case this isn't obvious:
- Trump has labeled Harris a "fascist" many times, prompting no response from Johnson and McConnell
- It was former members of Trump's own team who took the lead in labeling him a "fascist"
- Are Dems supposed to pretend this isn't a real issue?

Funny how Johnson and McConnell had no concerns when Trump called Harris a fascist multiple times in September (per @atrupar videos) and said in May that we live in a "fascist state." ¯_(ツ _/¯

That way there wont be any misunderstanding and the voters will know exactly who he is. Of course some of them are so fucking stupid, they wouldnt even know who Hitler was and that we fought a war over that son of a bitch back in the day.
The good news is if you label him Adolf Hitler, they wont have to try and figure out what a fascist is because that would be way too far for most of these dumb fucks.

Looks like to me the campaign is stressing Mr. Trumps instability and general lack of stamina and substance. I think that is a great reminder for anyone who has forgotten that the only thing Mr. Trumps presidency got for the United States was the most dead from Covid.
Dont let Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnells cosplaying nonsense disturb your day! This campaign is darn near flawless imho. The campaigns excellence reflects wonderfully well on VP Harris judgment, discernment and organizational skills.
Moreover, the Vice President achieved this excellence in less time than any campaign any of us have witnessed. You might say, Kamala Harris managed beautifully in high heels while dancing backwards 😉

(30 posts)"Just asking questions!"... as the media says
If Trump is lying about the first event, then the whole thing must be suspect as a lie.
The secret service let the assassination happen.
The same secret service that tried to drive away pence from the Capitol so Grassley could send the election decision to the House for Biden to lose. The same Secret Service that deleted their texts to hide their participation in 1/6. The Secret Service are pro-Republican. Didn't Major Biden know the Secret Service hates Democrats. "I am just asking questions"
The shooter's family were on the literal database Trump held.
If the first one was staged, then the second one was likely staged. Then the 2nd dude wrote a letter apologizing for a failed attempt way before the encounter in Florida. In the letter, this Republican operative calls for more violence, which is exactly what Trump wants, to be perceived as the fake victim to silence criticism of MAGA and Trump as "incitement to assassination". The Republicans have the new enemy - the enemy within. And have their new 9/11 - the fake assassinations. And if you criticize the "Dear Leader", you are the domestic terrorist and enemy. This MAGA Trumpism is Nazism. This is what the Nazis did. Trump is a Nazi. MAGA is America's Nazi Party.
The_Counsel

From Hypocrisy to Fascism: https://thevimblog.com/2018/08/07/hypocrisy-to-fascism/
...
A feature of fascism is its incoherence and internal inconsistency.
As Stanley points out, fascist campaigns are corrupt to their core and yet run on anti-corruption messaging. They appeal to the dominant group by depicting the group as victims. A fascist speaks for the whole and yet doesnt care about others, as Albright says. Arendt notices the tension too: a fascist campaign is a non-movement movement. (She also discusses the incoherence of totalitarianism.) The enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak, says Umberto Eco in an influential piece. Adorno discusses the different irrationalities in fascism and its propaganda. See also note 1 of History: a Retro Scenario in Jean Baudrillards Simulacra and Simulation.
The incoherence of fascism has implications for what I am doing here. Understanding fascism requires recognizing the futility of the taskbecause our notion of understanding, with its reliance on certain logical rules and operations, becomes political under fascism. A coherent picture of fascism is only possible within fascism. From the outside we can only understand that fascism is internally inconsistent. So we must be aware of the self-referential point: the fact that fascism is incoherent has implications for how we go about defining it. It also has implications for how we interact with fascists.
Now how does this relate to hypocrisy?
Hypocrisy is Inconsistency
Hypocrisy is acting in a way that is inconsistent with ones principles. The Trump era has been an unceasing process of confronting inconsistency and incoherence.
I believe that the GOP has simply discovered that hypocrisy is a great gaslighting tool.

In fifty years time anyone who looks up Fascism is going to see *rump as the poster child. When history examines Johnson and McConnell's contributions, they too are going to be labeled as Fascists. In the future I doubt their entry will be all that big, but they can both be assured that the few references to them will be in association with *rump. In a hundred years time, no one is going to be happy when their genetic information brings up a relation to either Johnson or McConnell. Mary Trump is the only reason her last name might have a hint of redemption behind it.
