Trump's "secret" with House Speaker Mike Johnson. What ever could it be?

Some speculation:

Delaying seating new members of the House to keep the majority during certification?

The 118th Congress ends, and the 119th Congress begins January 3rd, 2025.

A defeated Rep can't do a damn thing. He is trespassing. Anything he tries to do at this point is illegal.

Send in the Capitol police and arrest each of them.

I'm sick and disgusted with these traitorous assholes.

A full offensive: expand the court, statehood for DC and PR, hydrogen investment, prosecutions BEFORE election season. So many opportunities wasted. Even if NONE of these actions worked, it would have shown the 1/3 of USians who didn't vote that we were determined, and we could have held the House rather than hand it to the guilty.

The Right never says "it's too hard". They keep trying. It took them 50 years to overthrow Roe. Efforts don't have to work on the first try.

But I’ll tell you right now, if one objection is raised, there will immediately be 437 additional objections, and their will be no new congress.

In the scenario here, if the election goes to the House, each state gets one vote. As long as Republicans retain the majority in 26 states, those 26 states can select the president, regardless of the popular vote or anything else.

It's a tiny bit undemocratic, but that's kind of the Constitution for ya.

Trump tried to pull in 2020. Not that Republicans won't try something, but the states are required to certify and send the electors as decided by state law which in almost all cases is the winner of the popular vote in the state. There should be no way for Republicans to "screw around" with the Electoral Votes.

We were caught flat footed last time, that won't be the case this time.

They can’t block the seating of the new congress, unless they want to risk the entire house not being sworn in.

They can’t force a contingent election in the house- any slates of electors rejected or not certified simply reduces the number needed to win the presidency.

I sure hope the Speaker is inundated with reporters demanding to know what Trump’s little secret is.

It could be something nefarious because he is an evil thug. It could be completely imaginary because he can no longer piece together cohesive thoughts. It could be impossible because he's a dumbass who does not understand how the Constitution and federal law work. Take your pick.
