Rep. Dan Goldman: Trump hinted that he has some secret with Mike Johnson - does it have to do w/ the electoral college?

Rep. Dan Goldman: Trump hinted that he has some secret with Mike Johnson. I suspect Trump's little secret plan with Mike Johnson is that when he loses, he tries to go to the House to throw out the Electoral College and have the House under Mike Johnson overturn this election.

A new congress will be sworn in before the election is certified. If Dems have a majority, Jeffries will be Speaker.

I get Dems are turning up fear mongering to 1000, but some of it is over the top.

but it won't work. I understand being concerned, but I get a little tired of the fear mongering all the time. I keep hearing or reading "oh my God, the republicans are gonna throw the election to the house and they will win". People need to understand that they can't do that just because they want to - there needs to be a legally valid reason or reasons which there will not be.

If Mikey doesn't certify, he should be carried out by guards and replaced. It's all in the orangutan's imagination.

We're not doing this again. It didn't work the first time, it won't this time, either.

The GOP needs to have the November elections certified in the states before their reps can take seats.
If the states refuse to certify to help Trump win, their reps can't be seated on Jan 3 to certify on Jan 6...

I don't think you can refuse to certify only the Presidential election vote and still certify the individual federal representative districts House and Senate election vote. It's all the votes or none when it comes to the Feds.
We saw that argued in Florida in 2000, and one of the reasons the reason the SCOTUS forced the Florida Recount to end - not only was there "harm" to Bush's presidency, but the Florida Republicans couldn't be seated for the certification of the Electoral College.
And the Speaker of the House will be a Democrat on Jan 6 if certain states want to throw the Election to the House.

Democrats, citing voter irregularities. They could control the House long enough to throw the election to the House. But this would require that virtually the entire Republican caucus goes along with the plan.

MAGA is/will be TRYING to steal the vote any which way they can. Which is why voting in massive numbers is important. It makes it harder for them to pull it off.

Imo, overconfidence would be... unwise. GOTV!!!!
