Joe Biden: 'This is a big fucking deal'

https://www.theguardian.com/world/richard-adams-blog/2010/mar/23/joe-biden-obama-big-fucking-deal-overheard
https://www.obama.org/stories/13-years-aca/

since I am officially old now, I start medicare on Friday. Today I contacted the Healthcare.gov Marketplace to cancel my last ACA plan. I actually felt pretty emotional about this. not the getting old, going on medicare part, but the ending of 10 years of having health insurance thanks to President Obama and all the Democrats who got this for us.

it IS a big fucking deal. I spent most of my adult life with no insurance. it became available to me just in time for a fairly serious health crisis and I feel not only saved my life but also the 4 and 5 generation legacy of our family ranch. the huge medical debt I would have likely incurred in 2014 could have caused the loss of the ranch or at the very least been a very heavy burden on it for years and years.

thank you President Obama, VP and now President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and all the other people past and present who got this enacted. Lets keep moving FORWARD, not going back!!!

My sister is on Obamacare until she gets Medicare in February. She went through cancer surgery which she was able to have, plus post-cancer care, because she had insurance. Obama and Biden are lifesavers.

... and infuriating, is that the richest nation on Earth is also the only supposedly civilized nation on Earth without universal healthcare. All thanks to corporate psychopaths devoid of conscience or empathy. The world can no longer afford to indulge the infantile selfishness of these overprivileged shits. Are you listening, Musk, Bezos, and all the rest of you greedy parasites? Oh, wait... they're "job creators?" Alrighty then. Never mind.

Have lived among ranchers and farmers and know so many who never had insurance then lost everything their families built for years or generations on one major medical disaster.

Yes, it IS a big fucking deal to be able to get coverage. Sadly, the ranchers/farmers I knew were mostly blind supporters of GOP candidates who never gave them any help at all.
