Not believed: Charged with filing false report, Polk teen captured own evidence during rape

https://www.theledger.com/story/news/local/2024/11/01/story-of-lakeland-womans-rape-as-teen-gains-national-attention/75942133007/

LAKELAND — Less than an hour after being raped by her adoptive father along the side of a country road, the 13-year-old girl stood in the darkness, clutching the cell phone that held video and photographic evidence of his crime.

Preparing to dial 911, the girl paused, thinking back to a year earlier, when she had gone to law enforcement to report Henry Cadle’s sexual abuse, only to have an investigator from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office accuse her of lying.

Taylor Cadle worried: Would that happen again? Still, she overcame her fears and made the call in 2017, and hours later she saw Henry Cadle being led from their home in handcuffs, the last time she would ever see him.

Taylor Cadle remained anonymous until Tuesday night, when PBS NewsHour carried a 10-minute segment exploring her story in a manner critical of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The story has since spread on social media, gaining more than 1 million views on TikTok as of Friday.

it. Anyone involved that did not investigate thoroughly the first time should be fired.

As a side note, another example of how those abortion exceptions do not work.

To get the exception for rape, in some places, you have to make a police report. What then if the police do not believe you?

In some places, parental consent is needed for rape kit. This poor girl could not have gone to the ER on her own after being raped. Sure the hospital can call the police to investigate if the parent won't consent, but then if the police says the child is lying?

Based on the article, the chief offender in that respect was Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Melissa Turnage. She should have been fired when all this came out, but her pos boss is evidently protecting her. That's what happens when the person in charge is a pos. They train their unsderlings to be the same way and shield them from any serious consequences of their actions. The whole thing makes me sick.

Frequently on area news channels in front of the press, bragging. Wonder if he's going to host a news conference on this little girl's ordeal under his administration.

6. The sheriff of Polk County is Grady Judd, a publicity hungry piece of trump trash. This story doesn't surprise me.

He's always ragging on California or New York. He has little cozy coffee klatch videos on YouTube, usually featuring black or Hispanic criminals. He's always smirking when he tells his audience the criminals are from somewhere other than Florida. He thinks he's a comedian.

We have plenty of plenty of white, up and coming home grown criminals here in Florida.

accusations, think about men like this judd creep, the sheriffs, police and D. A.'s who refuse to believe females for whatever hate-filled, misogynistic, patriarchal, religious bs they use.
