Six foot fence, barbed wire topped, cameras, snipers on Tuesday, this is madness.
And you know this has nothing to do with Democrats. Cultists are at war with the democratic process. Literal war. Does it stop when he’s beaten and gone or is this a permanent nightmare?

(29,803 posts)4 years from now? Who knows? Vance? Jr? Who knows. They have no clue at this point....except it won't be Harris-Walz, no matter how well their policies help the middle class.

(5,578 posts)Vance seems to seldom engage in his actual day job, the one taxpayers pay him for. Likely he will have plenty of time for some charm school courses, paid for by Peter Thiel, of course, so he can learn how to better impersonate a human being.

(5,578 posts)As for cynical honesty.... well, I have lived a long time and have had good observational skills during most of those years. Being a fairly good observer + having tendency toward logic with never having found the bush most people can beat around = attilatheblond
OK, went from economy of words to verbose. I have many gears.

(13,731 posts)Trump is in no way a role model of Christianity--quite the
opposite. My sister and brother-in-law have lost their minds over Trump. They are huge evangelicals and think he was "chosen" basically. We are not talking at this time. Sad too.

(29,803 posts)They make a lot of noise and all the wild life is long gone before the tank appears. A 105MM shell has distance, but do you know what the target is?

(6,935 posts)There will be sporadic violence, but it will be disorganised and dealt with in a firm manner. (aka shots will be fired by law enforcement.)
MAGAts have several choices:
1. Storm the election centres - not advised - burn more ballot boxes (ditto) or just suck it up.
2. Grumble into their beers and complain how the country is going down the sewer, and 'someone should do something!
3. Go home, deny Trump exists, deny you voted for him, get on with life.

(81 posts)I voted by mail and have received official notice that my vote has been counted. I dropped my completed ballot off inside the Post Office mail slot because I don't trust the security of outside community mailboxes. I hope who can, will vote and be safe in doing so. Vote for our country's future, vote for Harris / Waltz.

(1,069 posts)She is 81 years old, been doing this for years. She knows what COULD happen and is prepared. The stories she tells me make me very scared for her. Election HQ may be a fortress but the voting locations are sitting ducks for whoever wants to make trouble. Crazies armed to the teeth just outside the limit and positioned where anyone coming from the parking lots have to pass by. Local police and county deputies won't protect the workers because having LEOs around would "intimidate voters." My sis is the head judge and knows if anything goes down she will likely be in the thick of it. She says she's lived a good life and if that's how it happens, so be it.
I hate these lunatics ... I really do.

(27,089 posts)The first rumblings that Maricopa County could swing against the long-dominant Republican Party didn't come until 2016.

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — Maricopa County, Arizona, has become the nation’s ultimate swing county — a place that could determine whether Democrat Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump will be the next president and which party controls the U.S. Senate.
The county is so closely divided politically that it can take more than a week to learn who won it. This year, election officials warn it could be as long as 13 days to tabulate all of the ballots in Maricopa.
The drawn-out count has made Maricopa County — home to Phoenix and dozens of other communities — a center of election conspiracy theories.
But the reason it takes so long is simple. Here are some things to know about this consequential battleground:

And they have been working on creating the fortress for a while.
