This is what a half-empty Trump rally looks like in Reading, Penn., a day before Election Day.

On edit: this isn't 10 min before Trump spoke.

(18,960 posts)...I know that in the past we could just right-click an image, grab the link, and post it here to embed a photo.
Then we had to use the link from photo hosting sites?
What's the current protocol? How do you embed a photo in a post? Thanks...

After the image uploaded I used the direct link to it from the list. Which is the second one down from the top in the list. It worked like a charm.

(3,759 posts)Trump still has not started speaking at the event. It is 3pm and Marco Rubio is currently speaking.
That pic was at least 90 minutes prior to the first speaker.

(3,759 posts)I will say that his later treat about the campaign playing "It's a man's world" was accurate - that's what I heard when looking at it just before Rubio started speaking.

(18,960 posts)...you can direct it to me, personally. Because making an accusatory statement like that as a reply elsewhere in the thread is a cowardly thing to do.
Just my take on civility. You need to do what makes sense to you. Clearly, that's your motivation.
Not to mention that the felon always lies and says there were ten thousand people in line the night before, and a crowd of 100,000 are outside because the venue is packed.
I will also note that everyone who has been here on DU for long recognizes you as being as good of a contributor as exists.
TheRickles
(2,540 posts)I was trying to add context that I thought was missing in the original post by David Corn and your posting of it. Sorry that you feel I was being cowardly by calling that misleading, but how else would I let my views be known? I thought that's what the Comments section is for.

(7,708 posts)reasonable and realistic. I think David Corn was setting up people to reply and repost his post because he loves controversy, he could have done his homework but no, he wanted to foment BS.

(4,701 posts)Uh Oh, I want to be sophisticated, I want to be a DUer. BUT wait a minute - I agree w/the OP.
By the way that great movie "Gaslight" with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer will be showing on TCM this Wednesday - I'm recording it.
EDIT to add: "w/you" to reply title for clarification
TheRickles
(2,540 posts)or a gaslighter. We're folks who agree about a lot (that's why we're both on DU) while disagreeing about this one thing. And to reiterate, my major gripe is with David Corn (who should know better) - why didn't he include a photo showing the same empty seats WHILE Trump was speaking? I'd have preferred that version. Wouldn't you?
AnotherMother4Peace
(4,701 posts)very, very suspicious when someone speaks for me, puts me in a group to push a belief, makes me part of the "in crowd" to prove their point w/out my permission.
I try to always speak for myself, and never speak for others.

(18,713 posts)Trump's smile in the pic may be his most sincere expression of "Putin has the kompromat" or "I owe it all to him." Either way, Dimdonnie's countenance shows the then-POTUS was compromised.
Has anyone seen Trump smile at US allies, opposing politicians or anybody with integrity?

(6,185 posts)There's no one outside in line, and they have to go through security to get in. Secret service closes the entrances at least an hour before he arrives so if you plan to see the candidate, you have to get there at least an hour before the speech starts. Venue in Raleigh this morning was only half full when he was on stage. These are borefests. And they're depressing, not exciting. Hand a crowd a bunch of signs and expect cheering and then he gives them nothing to cheer.

(3,759 posts)It is 3pm now and Trump has not yet taken the stage. They are still going through other speakers before him.

(2,844 posts)Former President Donald Trump held an election eve rally in Raleigh, North Carolina on Monday but it packed nowhere near the punch of the former president's past campaign events.
The New York Times' Michael Gold reported on Monday morning shortly before the rally began that the arena where the rally was being held was "far from a full house, and no line outside."
Gold wasn't the only one who noticed how sparsely attended the Trump rally was, as MSNBC's Vaughn Hillyard estimated that the arena in Raleigh was only around 70 percent full, whereas in past years Trump rallies would be packed to the rafters.

(11,542 posts)Since the Madison Square Garden event with MAGA's freak flag proudly displayed, Trump's campaign has collapsed. The speed of that collapse has increased with every subsequent rally. Agent Orange is more erratic, angrier and hateful.
He knows he's losing. We know he's losing. Tomorrow the whole world will know.
