@BillKristol
I can see it coming. If Trump loses, the election commentariat is going to blame Trump's mistakes in the last week. You know who won't get credit they deserve? Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Liz Cheney, and tens of millions of women who will be responsible for defeating Trump.

(1,513 posts)... that evil bastard's clown show for more than 40 years. He is rotten down to his DNA, with NO redeeming qualities whatsoever. Whatever fate befalls him, the punishment will never be enough to erase the harm he has done, nor the pain he has caused. He is the embodiment of mindless malice.
And to those that STILL support him, that egregious error says nothing good about your judgment or your character. That stain is indelible, and will never be forgotten, or forgiven.

(8,003 posts)is that parents are responsible for both.
Not only did Fred hand down his evil DNA, but his sociopathy (including consistently rewarding Donald's bad behavior and discouraging any good behavior, if any crept in) = that would have turned a betterr man than Donald into a monster. I'm citing his niece Mary for this info.

I agree with Kristol. Kamala has conducted a master class. Extremely disciplined. The press tried to knock her off her game a few times, and they couldnt. Kudos to the Harris/Walz team.

Please, let this long, national nightmare end.

(113,131 posts)when it became obvious that TFG wasn't going to pleasantly surprise anyone by showing competence that had been in hiding beneath the divisive bombast.
I think he's hoping, like I am, that we manage to outvote the MCPs of both genders by a wide enough margin that eveb TFG is forced to admit, at least privately, that he just plain lost. Again.

(1,935 posts)Liz Cheney has not disavowed the Republican National Committee, The Republican Party, or her own personal brand of theocratic fascism.
Liz Cheney is in it for Liz Cheney.
It just so happens that she's one of the smarter fascist rats attempting to carve out power for herself.
That's my perception of what things are as I review the facts that are in evidence.
I don't trust her worth a shit.

(15,584 posts)Any defector at this point in time is welcome.
I am all for anything that gets Trump away from power but that aside I dislike Liz Cheney and that type of person as much as I always did.
Never Trump GOP is still GOP.
I do go like this 🤮 over anything I read in the media about Cheney that is at all a hair more positive than, well okay not entirely crazy for a goper. She is still pro life etc etc.
Good that she is anti trump, but that aside she is a Cheney. I became politically aware during the Iraq War and have never forgotten what the Bushies and Cheneys were like. But, yeah Trump is far worse. After I wrote that last line i realized that is not what I think. I think Trump is a natural evolution. Bush and Cheney in 2000-2004 would result in a Trump some 10-20 years later.
It is time to move left instead of constantly scrambling to the least right shifted centre imo.
Justice matters.
(7,585 posts)Thus, she has no future on the dark side.
At least we can thank her for choosing to defend the Constitution this final one time for her in politics.
She worked hard to defend it in the Select Committee and she stood up to the magats by telling the truth of that day.

(13,538 posts)She lost her House seat, gets death threats every day, has little to no fundraising, etc
It would've been very easy to even just stay quiet & she'd still be in the House.
She's never said she changed her views & Harris has openly said "we dont agree on much". She's called out Republicans for NOT speaking out.
I'm happy to have her working against trump. I believe she means it.
