I've often thought how much different our history would be since he certainly would have been elected president.

Arkansas voted for Wallace, but I think RFK would have carried the state if he hadn't been assassinated and had won the nomination. He was just that kind of person who could appeal to the better angels of humanity, and they fucking killed him
