Swing State Poll Closing Times

Thank you to the several people who posted the NPR link showing all of the poll closing times. I thought maybe some of you might also want to just jot down just the swing state poll closings. Here they are. All times are Eastern Time.

7:00 Georgia
7:30 North Carolina
8:00 Pennsylvania
9:00 Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota
10:00 Nevada

1. In Michigan

most of the polls close at 8, but 3 counties in the UP are on Central time. There polls close at 9.

That’s addressed in the NPR link along with a couple of other little anomalies like that. But for purposes of this, I thought it was more important the initial closing times. As in, when we can expect that some initial reporting will be available on results. Edit: oops. I just realized that Michigan probably doesn’t report out any results until after the polls have closed in those 9 PM counties. My bad.

3. MN is not a swing state.
